Kyogojo Engineering and Water Service Cooperative is a community-owned water utility proudly serving the upland barangays of Cagayan de Oro City — delivering clean, reliable, and affordable potable water to households who need it most.
Kyogojo Engineering and Water Service Cooperative (KESC) was established in 2010 with a bold vision: that the people themselves — not corporations, not cronies — should own and operate water distribution in their own communities.
KESC began operations in Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro, establishing the first community-owned water system in the upland areas.
Grew to serve Taguanao, Baikingon, Indahag, Mambuaya, and Bayanga — reaching thousands of households in highland communities.
Partnered with the Mindanao Cooperatives Water Service Federation (MCWSF), backed by ₱1 billion in support, to fast-track expansion to unserved communities.
Operates with full permits from Cagayan de Oro City government and the National Water Resources Board — a trusted public utility.
To prove that the people — not huge corporations — can own and operate their own water system. We exist so that general public utilities like water distribution can be managed cooperatively, for the benefit of all.
Clean, safe drinking water piped directly to your home. We maintain and operate the full distribution network across all served barangays — 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Applying for a new water connection is simple. Our team will assess your property, process your application, and install your meter at a transparent, affordable rate.
Our engineering team handles main line extensions, pipe repairs, meter replacements, and leak management across our entire service coverage area.
Specialized expertise in upland and highland water system design — serving communities in mountainous barangays where conventional utility providers don't reach.
Monthly meter reading, transparent billing, and convenient payment at our office or authorized payment centers. Fair rates with no hidden charges.
As a cooperative, consumers can become members and have a voice in how the water service is managed. Community ownership means decisions made for you, by you.
"This is to prove that the people, and not huge corporations, can own and operate their own water system." — Isagani Daba, Mindanao Cooperatives Water Service Federation
Unlike private water companies driven by shareholder profits, KESC is owned by the community it serves. Every peso collected goes back into maintaining and expanding the water system for the benefit of our 2,300+ consumers. This is what cooperative economics looks like in action.
Serving highland barangays that larger water districts cannot or do not reach — because everyone deserves clean water.
A cooperative structure means profits stay in the community. Members have a voice in operations and decisions.
Fully licensed by the NWRB and city government. Operating with court-recognized contracts and public accountability.
Whether you're applying for a new connection, reporting a service issue, or inquiring about becoming a cooperative member — our team is ready to assist.
